Lighting Protection Testing
Lightning conductors are designed to protect properties in the event of a lightning strike. Regular testing is required to ensure they are working effectively. At Earthing Equipment Supplies Southern Ltd, we survey and inspect the system before carrying out three different types of testing using calibrated meggers. We conduct all testing in accordance with BS EN 62305: 2012, the current British standard. We then provide you with a detailed inspection report containing our recommendations.
Experienced Technicians
Lightning conductor inspection and testing is carried out as per the current British standard. Our technicians are fully trained and are highly skilled with years of experience. We will inspect all systems on the site thoroughly and provide a report detailing any remedial works and/or upgrading required.
Our Lightning Protection Testing Covers:
- A building survey to ensure the system complies with the British standard.
- Checking of individual positions including joints, earth pits and connections.
- Checking of roof network (if access is possible)
- Testing comprises of three tests, the individual positions, continuity testing of the high level positions and an overall test.
- Following the test a report is issued of the findings and recommendations made if required.
